Description

The Valeris is a 45cm circular alabaster chandelier built from staggered rectangular panels of natural Spanish alabaster, fixed to a brass-finished circular frame and suspended on three slender cables from a matching brass canopy. A 40W integrated LED lights the ring from within, so light passes outwards through the stone and downwards through the open base for a combination of ambient glow and direct downlight. There is no bulb to buy or fit.

At 14cm tall and 45cm in diameter, the Valeris suits dining tables, kitchen islands, entrance halls and bedroom ceilings where a low-profile circular fitting works better than a tall multi-tier chandelier. The shallow drum form makes it a sensible choice for ceilings of 2.4m and above, and the cable suspension can be shortened on installation to set the fitting 70-80cm above a dining surface or 2.0-2.1m off the floor in a hallway.

Each alabaster panel is cut into a clean rectangular section and fixed to the frame with small brass studs, with the panels arranged in two staggered tiers so the lower edges form an irregular fringe rather than a flat rim. The mineral veining varies from soft ivory through to warmer honeyed striations, and no two panels look the same when lit. The brass-finished metalwork is kept narrow and restrained, letting the layered stone define the silhouette.

Because the LED is built into the fitting, output stays consistent around the whole ring instead of varying with whichever lamps happen to be fitted. At 40W the Valeris gives enough light to work as the primary source in rooms up to around 12 square metres.

Does the Valeris need bulbs?

No. The LED is integrated into the fitting rather than a replaceable lamp, so there is nothing to buy separately. The chandelier runs at 40W and arrives ready to wire in.

Is it dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the dimmer model used with the integrated LED driver. Please contact us before wiring the Valeris into a dimmed circuit so we can confirm suitability for your installation.

What ceiling height does it suit?

The shallow 14cm drum form keeps the total drop short, making the Valeris suitable for ceilings from 2.4m upwards. The cable suspension is adjusted on installation, so the fitting can be hung close to the ceiling in lower rooms or dropped further in spaces with greater headroom.

Does the alabaster vary between panels?

Yes. Each panel is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so veining and tonal variation differ across the ring and between individual chandeliers. Ivory and honeyed striations are part of the natural stone and not a defect.
