Valenro 24 Light Cylindrical Alabaster Chandelier - Soft White & Brass

The Valenro is a 600mm circular chandelier built around a flat brushed brass ring frame, with 24 cylindrical Spanish alabaster shades mounted alternately above and below the ring in two staggered tiers. Each shade takes a single G4 capsule bulb (24 in total, sold separately), and the fitting drops from the ceiling on a 300mm brass rod with a sculpted alabaster collar at the canopy joint.

At 600mm in diameter the Valenro suits dining tables, entrance halls, stairwells and open-plan living rooms with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above. The 460mm overall drop (160mm fitting plus 300mm rod) keeps the chandelier clear of standing eye-line over a dining table while still reading as a defined ceiling feature. The brass rod attaches to a flat brass canopy that fits standard UK ceiling roses.

The alabaster shades are cut from solid blocks of natural Spanish stone, so each cylinder shows different veining, tonal shifts and translucency. When lit, the G4 bulbs illuminate the stone from inside, turning each shade into a small column of warm light rather than producing a single broad downlight. The staggered mounting between upper and lower positions on the ring breaks up the silhouette and casts light in two horizontal bands.

The combination of brushed brass and pale alabaster reads warm rather than cool, pairing well with timber floors, plastered walls and natural-toned interiors. The geometry is contemporary, but the natural stone keeps the fitting from feeling overtly modern, allowing it to sit in both new-build and period properties.

What bulbs does the Valenro take?

The chandelier takes 24 x G4 capsule bulbs, one per alabaster shade. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users fit warm-white LED G4 capsules between 2W and 3W at 2700K-3000K to suit the warm tone of the brass and stone.

What ceiling height does it suit?

The total drop is approximately 460mm (160mm fitting plus the 300mm brass rod). This works comfortably in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above. Over a dining table the chandelier typically hangs 700-800mm above the table surface.

Is each alabaster shade unique?

Yes. Each cylinder is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so veining, tonal variation and density differ between shades. This is a feature of the natural stone, not a defect, and gives each chandelier its own character once lit.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe each cylinder gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Avoid damp cloths, household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners, as moisture and solvents can stain or etch the stone surface.
