Description
The Valenor is a 350mm alabaster disc table lamp carved from a single block of natural Spanish alabaster, shaped into a broad horizontal volume with softly rounded edges. The lamp stands just 140mm tall, giving it a low sculptural footprint, and houses an integrated 3000K LED that lights the stone from within. A discreet cable exits the rear of the disc and runs to a standard 230V plug.
Designed for side tables, console tables, low shelves and bedside surfaces, the Valenor works as ambient rather than task lighting. Its short height keeps it well below eye level when seated, so the warm glow reads as a pool of light on the surface rather than a glare source. The wide 350musto disc gives it presence on a 400-600mm-deep console without dominating the surface, and the soft 3000K tone suits living rooms, bedrooms and reading nooks used in the evening.
Each disc is cut from natural alabaster, so the veining, tonal banding and mineral inclusions vary between individual pieces. Darker grey and amber bands move through the soft white stone, becoming far more visible once the LED is on and the alabaster reveals its translucency. The edges are resolved into a single smooth curve from top to side to base, preserving the impression of one carved object rather than an assembled fitting. No metal hardware is visible on the body.
The restrained geometry pairs comfortably with both contemporary and classical interiors, sitting alongside ceramics, books and timber surfaces without competing with them. The 3000K colour temperature gives a warm white light that flatters skin tones and warm wood, making the Valenor a quiet evening light source rather than a bright reading lamp.

Frequently Asked
Does the alabaster vary between pieces?
Yes. Each Valenor disc is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining, tonal banding and mineral character differ between individual pieces. The darker grey and amber markings become more visible once the lamp is switched on and the stone shows its translucency. This is a feature of the natural material, not a defect.
Is the Valenor dimmable?
The integrated LED runs at 230V mains. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific dimmer model, so please contact us before pairing it with an in-line or wall dimmer to confirm.
What size surface does it suit?
At 350mm wide and 140mm tall, the Valenor sits well on side tables, console tables and low shelves of around 400-600mm deep. The low profile keeps it below seated eye level, which makes it well suited to bedside tables and living-room consoles where a tall lamp would feel intrusive.
How is the alabaster cleaned?
Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe the disc with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the stone and do not use household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners.
