Description

The Vail is a 42cm drum pendant light with three E27 fittings housed inside a white blown glass diffuser that has been acid-etched to create a soft, translucent finish. The glass dome sits within a matt white painted metal frame, creating a layered effect where the frosted glass appears to float inside the outer shell. The pendant is suspended on adjustable steel cables that can be shortened or lengthened during installation to suit ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3m.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and open-plan living areas, the Vail works as a single pendant over a small table or in multiples spaced 80-100cm apart over longer surfaces. The three E27 bulbs (sold separately) sit hidden above the frosted glass, directing their light downward through the diffuser to create an even wash of illumination without visible filaments or bright spots. The IP20 rating limits the Vail to dry indoor spaces only.

The blown glass diffuser is thicker and heavier than pressed or moulded alternatives, giving the pendant a solid 2.1kg weight that minimises movement on the cable in rooms with airflow from doors or windows. The acid-etched finish softens the light output while retaining enough translucency to show the warm glow of the bulbs inside.
