Description
The Urban Renewal is a single-bulb wall light built around an antique bronze arm extending from a circular mirrored metal reflector disc. The light takes one E27 Edison-style bulb (sold separately) housed in an open socket holder that exposes the bulb filament as part of the visual design. The reflector disc behind the bulb shows distressed mirror panelling divided into segments by bronze spokes radiating from the centre mount.
Designed for accent lighting in hallways, kitchens, home bars and dining areas, the Urban Renewal provides directed light where the exposed bulb acts as both source and feature. The 153mm projection from the wall positions the bulb far enough forward to cast light sideways along a wall or across a worktop, making it useful for task lighting over kitchen counters or bar areas. The fitting mounts to a standard UK back box and can be positioned at any height depending on the application.
The distressed mirror reflector adds ambient fill by bouncing light back into the room, while the bronze finish on the metalwork shows deliberate patina and tonal variation to mimic aged industrial fittings. The disc diameter of 197mm gives the fitting presence on the wall without dominating smaller spaces. The open socket design means bulb choice directly affects light quality — pair with a warm filament LED (2200K-2700K) for amber-toned accent light, or a clear Edison squirrel-cage LED to emphasise the vintage industrial aesthetic.
The Urban Renewal is part of Feiss Lighting's heritage collection, manufactured in the USA. The bronze finish is sealed to prevent further oxidation, so the patina remains stable over time. The mirrored reflector is metal, not glass, making it more resistant to impact than glass-backed mirrors.

Frequently Asked
What bulb works best with this fitting?
The fitting takes any standard E27 bulb up to 60W. Most buyers pair this with a warm-white LED filament bulb (4-6W, 2200K-2700K) or an Edison squirrel-cage LED to emphasise the vintage aesthetic. The bulb is fully exposed, so its appearance matters as much as its light output.
Is the mirror reflector glass or metal?
The reflector disc is metal with a mirrored finish, not glass. This makes it more impact-resistant than a glass mirror and less prone to shattering if knocked during installation or cleaning.
Can it be fitted upside-down or sideways?
Yes. The fitting can be mounted in any orientation as long as the back plate is securely fixed to the wall. Rotating the fitting 180° positions the bulb below the reflector for downward light, which works well over worktops or sinks.
Does the bronze finish change over time?
The antique bronze finish is sealed to prevent further oxidation, so the patina remains stable. The finish will not darken or fade unless exposed to harsh chemical cleaners or abrasive scrubbing.
