Description

This is a high bay light in the UFO style: a broad circular black body, 26cm across, with a shallow domed housing above and a ring of LEDs behind a flat lens below. The LED array and its driver are built in, so there is nothing to fit or replace inside. It runs at 150W and gives a cool white 4000K light with a wide spread, throwing an even pool downwards rather than a tight spot. Output is fixed, with no dimming.

This is the sort of light we specify for tall spaces where a domestic fitting would simply vanish: workshops, garages, stores, unit ceilings, agricultural buildings and covered yards. The wide beam suits a lower mounting height and closer spacing, where you want overlapping cover and few dark patches across a floor. Because it is sealed against dust and water jets, it also stands up to washdown areas, damp stores and places where the air carries sawdust or grain. We would choose the wide version where people are working across a whole floor, and the narrower beams in the range where the ceiling is higher and light needs driving down.

The housing is finished in matt black, with a heatsink form that keeps the fitting compact for its output. Keep it working well by cutting the power, letting it cool, then wiping dust from the lens and the upper fins with a dry brush or cloth; a build-up of grime on the fins is the main thing that shortens the life of any high bay light. Avoid solvents on the lens. It carries a three year warranty. This range gives you a choice of beam widths, plus a cooler white for spaces where a crisper light is wanted and a larger, higher-output body for taller buildings. All are black. The LED is integral, so no lamp is needed.
