Description

This is a high-output LED downlight in black, round and compact at 26cm across, with a narrow beam that keeps the light where you aim it. The LED and its driver are built in, drawing 150W and giving around 21000 lumens of cool white light: bright, slightly crisp, and better suited to seeing work clearly than to setting a mood. There is no dimming, so it runs at full output whenever it is switched on.

We would use this where a ceiling sits well above head height and the floor below still needs proper light: a workshop, a double-height garage, a store room, a small industrial unit or a busy loading area. The tighter beam suits taller spaces because it carries light down rather than spilling it across the walls. It is sealed against dust and water jets, so damp and dirty rooms are no obstacle. One unit covers a surprising amount of ground, and this is the beam we reach for when a wider spread would arrive weak.

The housing holds its own driver, so nothing extra needs to sit beside it, and the whole unit is finished in black. Looking after it is mostly a question of dust: with the power off and the unit cool, wipe the glass face clear so the output does not dull, and keep grime off the body so heat can escape. The LED is integral, so there is nothing inside to replace. It carries a three year warranty. Across the same range we stock wider beam angles, a cooler daylight version and a larger size, which makes it easy to run one look through a whole building while varying the spread room by room.
