Description
The Unity Tracks Recessed Straight Connector is a white aluminium joiner for single-phase recessed track lighting systems, designed to create inline electrical connections between two parallel track sections. The connector slots into the recessed track channel to maintain a continuous flush-mounted run where the track needs to bridge a ceiling joist, turn a corner junction into a straight continuation, or extend across longer spans.
Used in commercial offices, retail spaces, galleries and residential rooms with recessed track lighting, the connector supports AC 220-240V single-phase circuits and transfers power between track sections without requiring additional wiring. The white powder-coated aluminium body matches white recessed track profiles and sits flush with the ceiling surface once installed, maintaining the clean uninterrupted line of the track run.
The connector measures 80mm in length, 60mm in width and 20mm in height, with internal copper bus bars that clip into the track's live, neutral and earth conductors when the connector is pushed into place. The white finish conceals the connector against white and light-toned ceilings, while the aluminium construction dissipates heat from the electrical connection without deforming under normal operating temperatures.

Frequently Asked
Is this compatible with all recessed track systems?
This connector is designed for Maytoni Unity recessed track systems specifically. It will not fit surface-mounted track or recessed track from other manufacturers due to differences in profile dimensions and conductor placement.
Can it be used outdoors or in bathrooms?
No. This connector carries no IP rating and is designed for dry indoor environments only. It should not be used in bathrooms, outdoor canopies, or anywhere exposed to moisture.
Does it require tools to install?
Installation typically requires the track sections to be aligned within the ceiling recess, then the connector is pushed into place to engage the internal bus bars with the track conductors. A small flat-head screwdriver may be needed to secure any locking tabs depending on the track profile design. Always isolate the circuit at the consumer unit before working on track lighting.
What's the maximum load the connector can handle?
The connector itself does not limit current — the track system's overall circuit rating does. Maytoni Unity single-phase track systems are typically rated for 10A or 16A circuits depending on the specific track model. Check the track specification to confirm the maximum load.
