Description

The Unity Tracks recessed straight connector joins two sections of single-phase recessed track lighting in a continuous straight line. The connector body is milled from aluminium with a black powder-coated finish and contains conductive copper contacts rated for AC 220-240V. The connector sits flush with the track profile once installed, maintaining a continuous recessed channel without visible gaps or interruptions.

Designed for ceiling installations where the track is set into plasterboard or suspended ceiling systems, the connector allows runs of track lighting to extend beyond a single track length without breaking the visual line. The 80mm body length provides enough contact overlap to ensure electrical continuity and mechanical stability between track sections. Installation requires the tracks to be aligned end-to-end with the connector inserted into the internal channel of both sections.

The black finish matches Maytoni's Unity black track range and sits invisibly within the recessed channel when viewed from below. The aluminium construction resists corrosion in dry interior environments and provides adequate heat dissipation for the low-level contact resistance within the connector. The connector is a passive component carrying voltage between track sections — it does not house any active components or switches.

No. This connector is designed specifically for recessed track installations where the track sits within a ceiling void. For surface-mounted track systems, use the corresponding surface-mounted connector in the Unity range.

What track systems does it work with?

The connector is designed for Maytoni Unity single-phase recessed track. It may not be compatible with other manufacturers' track systems even if the profile appears similar, as contact positioning and voltage phasing differ between brands.
