Description

The Unity T-connector joins three single-phase track sections in a T-formation, allowing track lighting systems to branch at 90-degree angles. Made from white plastic with internal copper contact strips, the connector maintains electrical continuity across all three arms while supporting the physical weight of the track rails. Dimensions are 10.6cm × 7cm with a 1.7cm profile from the ceiling.

Designed for surface-mounted track installations in retail spaces, galleries, kitchens and offices where lighting needs to follow room geometry rather than run in straight lines. The T-configuration allows a single track run to split into two perpendicular directions, distributing light fittings across different zones without needing multiple independent circuits. The connector clips into standard single-phase track rail and locks with a quarter-turn, requiring no additional fixings or tools once the track itself is ceiling-mounted.

Is this compatible with three-phase track systems?

No. This connector is rated for single-phase track only. Three-phase systems use a different internal contact arrangement and require dedicated three-phase connectors. Check your track specification before ordering.

How is it fitted to the track?

The connector clips into the open end of the track rail and locks with a quarter-turn. The track sections must be cut to the correct length first, then the connector joins them. No screws or additional fixings are needed once the track rail itself is ceiling-mounted.

What weight can it support?

The connector supports the weight of the track rail itself plus the combined weight of light fittings clipped onto the adjoining track sections. The limiting factor is usually the ceiling fixing of the track rather than the connector, which is designed to carry the structural load of a fully populated track run.

Can it be painted to match a different ceiling colour?

Painting is not recommended. The plastic surface does not hold paint well and any paint on the internal contact strips will cause electrical failure. If a colour other than white is needed, look for track connectors in black, silver or grey finishes within the Maytoni Unity range.
