Description

The Unity flexible connector joins two sections of Maytoni single-phase surface-mounted track at adjustable angles, allowing track lighting runs to navigate corners, alcoves and irregular ceiling layouts. The connector is moulded from black plastic with internal copper contact strips rated for 220-240V AC, and extends to a maximum 280mm length when fully stretched.

Designed for residential and commercial track lighting installations where rigid straight runs cannot follow the room geometry, the flexible connector suits retail display lighting that wraps around column corners, kitchen track runs that bend around ceiling beams, and gallery installations where spotlights need to follow non-linear wall arrangements. The connector clips into the track rail at both ends using the same mechanical lock as rigid track joiners, maintaining continuity of the live rail without exposed wiring.

The black finish matches Maytoni's Unity track system components and sits flush with the track profile when installed, adding 20mm of vertical depth to the ceiling-mounted assembly. The ribbed centre section compresses and extends to accommodate angles between 90° and 180°, with each rib providing a detent position that holds the angle once set. The plastic housing is rated for indoor use and carries a 2-year warranty.

Is this compatible with all single-phase track systems?

No. This connector is designed specifically for Maytoni Unity single-phase track. The contact configuration and mechanical lock may not align with other manufacturers' track systems, even where the voltage rating matches.

What angles can the connector accommodate?

The ribbed centre section allows angles between 90° (right angle corner) and 180° (straight continuation with a slight arc). Each rib provides a detent position that holds the angle once set during installation.

Does it maintain electrical continuity when flexed?

Yes. The internal copper contact strips remain in contact across the full range of motion, maintaining live rail continuity at any angle within the 90-180° operating range. There is no voltage drop or interruption when the connector is flexed.

Can it be used outdoors?

No. The plastic housing and contact configuration are rated for indoor use only. For outdoor track lighting, a dedicated outdoor-rated track system with IP-rated connectors is required.
