Description

The Unity is a 1m single-phase track lighting rail finished in white powder-coated aluminium, designed for surface mounting to ceilings or walls. The track accepts Maytoni single-phase track heads and fittings that clip into the internal conductor channel, allowing multiple light sources to be positioned anywhere along the 1m length and repositioned as needed without re-wiring.

Designed for residential kitchens, living rooms, home offices and retail environments where directed accent lighting or adjustable task lighting is required, the track removes the need for multiple fixed ceiling positions. The 34mm width and 20mm profile depth suit modern low-ceiling spaces including new-build flats and conversions with ceiling heights under 2.4m. The white finish blends into white or light-coloured ceilings, reducing visual clutter compared to black or metallic track systems.

The aluminium extrusion houses a single-phase electrical conductor rated for 220-240V AC, simplifying installation compared to three-phase systems that require specialist wiring. Multiple 1m sections can be joined end-to-end using connector accessories (sold separately) to create longer runs up to 3m or configured into L-shapes and grids depending on room layout. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor environments — not suitable for bathrooms, outdoor canopies or any location where moisture is present.

What fittings are compatible with this track?

The Unity track accepts Maytoni single-phase track heads and any other manufacturer's single-phase track fittings that use the standard conductor profile. Three-phase fittings are not compatible. Check the product pages for Maytoni track spotlights and pendants to see compatible options.

Can multiple tracks be joined together?

Yes. Multiple 1m sections can be joined end-to-end using straight connector accessories (sold separately) to create runs up to 3m. L-connectors and T-connectors are also available for corner and grid configurations.

Is this suitable for bathroom installation?

No. The IP20 rating means the track is only rated for dry indoor environments. It cannot be used in bathrooms, shower rooms, outdoor covered areas or any location where moisture or water spray is present.

How is the track surface-mounted?

The track includes pre-drilled fixing points for screws into ceiling joists or wall studs. The electrical feed enters through one end cap and connects to the internal conductor. Full installation instructions are in the manual linked in the Downloads tab.
