Description

The Unity is a 2m single-phase surface-mounted track in white aluminium, designed to carry track spotlights across ceiling or wall runs without needing recessed installation. The track houses two copper conductors within a white powder-coated aluminium channel, delivering 220-240V AC power to compatible track heads via a rotary-locking connector system.

Intended for retail spaces, galleries, kitchens, home offices and living areas where adjustable directional lighting is needed, the 200cm length allows 3-5 track spotlights to be positioned along the run depending on spacing requirements. The track can be cut to shorter lengths on site if needed, or joined end-to-end with linking connectors (sold separately) to create longer continuous runs. Surface mounting means the track fixes directly to the ceiling or wall surface via screws into the back of the aluminium channel, eliminating the need for ceiling cut-outs or plasterboard patching.

The white powder-coated finish on the extruded aluminium provides a neutral appearance that recedes against white ceilings or pairs cleanly with pale walls. The 34mm width and 20mm depth give the track a slim profile that projects minimally from the mounting surface. The IP20 rating suits dry indoor environments; the track is not suitable for bathrooms, outdoor installations or locations where moisture or dust ingress is likely.

The Unity track uses a standard single-phase connector system compatible with most track spotlights designed for surface-mounted single-phase rails. Check that the spotlight's connector matches the single-phase specification before purchasing.

Can the track be cut to a shorter length?

Yes. The aluminium channel can be cut with a hacksaw or mitre saw to fit smaller spaces. The live feed can be repositioned internally after cutting, but this should be done by a qualified electrician to ensure safe power connection.

How is the track mounted?
