Description

The Knightsbridge SKR2 is an under-cabinet 13A 2-gang switched socket with integrated USB-A and USB-C charging ports, housed in a stainless steel elongated enclosure measuring 211mm wide by 93mm high by 93mm deep. The unit surface-mounts to the underside of wall cupboards, worktop overhangs or shelving, bringing power and USB charging to countertop level without occupying wall space or requiring recessed installation.

Designed for kitchen worktops, hotel room desks, AV cabinets and office furniture, the elongated 93mm projection provides clearance for larger plug tops and cable entries without forcing connectors to bend sharply at the outlet. The dual-pole switched sockets allow individual control of each 13A outlet, while the shared USB-A and USB-C ports deliver up to 20W combined output at 5V DC 4.0A, supporting fast-charge protocols for phones, tablets and small electronics.

The stainless steel construction provides a brushed metallic finish that resists fingerprints and integrates with stainless steel appliances, chrome tap fittings and contemporary kitchen hardware. The grey socket inlays sit flush with the faceplate, giving a defined aperture edge without the colour contrast of black inserts. Surface-mounting via captive terminals on the rear of the unit means no back box is required, and the Class I earthed construction meets IP20 rating for dry indoor locations.

No. The SKR2 is a surface-mount unit with captive terminals on the rear. It fixes directly to the underside of a cupboard, shelf or worktop overhang using the mounting holes provided, with no recessed back box needed.

What is the USB charging output?

The USB-A and USB-C ports share a combined 20W output at 5V DC 4.0A. This supports fast-charge protocols for most phones and tablets, though the exact charging speed depends on the device and cable used.

Can both sockets be used simultaneously?

Yes. Each 13A socket is individually switched and rated for up to 3,120W, allowing both outlets to be used at the same time for appliances such as kettles, toasters, coffee machines or small kitchen appliances.

What clearance is needed below the unit?

The 93mm depth provides adequate clearance for standard UK plug tops. Most installations sit the unit 100-120mm above worktop level to allow plugs to be inserted comfortably and appliance cables to drop vertically without strain.
