Description

The Ull is a 2-light wall light with silver grey metalwork and two frosted glass shades, each housing a G9 bulb fitting rated to 40W per socket. The twin arched arms position the shades at slight angles, directing light both upward and outward from the wall, providing a mix of ambient wash and direct task light suitable for bathroom mirrors, hallway positioning, or bedside reading.

Designed for installation on standard UK wall wiring, the Ull mounts to a 266mm-wide backplate with an 85mm projection from the wall once fitted. The compact 155mm height allows installation in rooms with lower ceilings or where wall space is constrained by doorframes, switches or adjacent fittings. The frosted glass diffuses direct glare from the G9 capsules while retaining enough brightness for grooming tasks or corridor navigation.

The silver grey finish on the metalwork sits between polished chrome and brushed steel, providing a neutral base that pairs with both cool-toned contemporary bathrooms and warmer traditional schemes. Dimmable when paired with dimmable G9 LED or halogen capsules (sold separately), allowing brightness to be adjusted for morning routines or evening ambience. What bulbs does it take?

The Ull takes two G9 capsule bulbs rated to 40W maximum per socket. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with dimmable G9 LED capsules between 3-5W and 2700K-3000K for bathroom or bedroom use.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when fitted with dimmable G9 bulbs and wired to a compatible dimmer switch. Standard non-dimmable G9 bulbs will not dim and may flicker or fail if used with a dimmer.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

The Ull carries no IP rating and is not certified for bathroom zones requiring splash protection. It can be installed in bathrooms outside zones 1 and 2, typically above zone 0 and at least 600mm from the bath or shower enclosure. Check UK wiring regulations for your specific layout.

What wall fixing is needed?

The 1.4kg weight requires secure fixing. On plasterboard walls, use cavity anchors rated to at least 5kg per fixing point. On masonry or brick, use wall plugs and screws appropriate to the substrate. The backplate has mounting holes for standard UK spacing.
