Description

The Twist is a sculptural LED pendant light with a twisted matte black body and an integrated 11W 3000K LED emitting 640 lumens through an opal silicone diffuser. The pendant body measures 41cm in height and 12cm in diameter, with the spiral form creating a vertical visual movement that draws the eye upward. The opal diffuser runs along the inside edge of the twist, casting warm light outward across the spiral and into the room.

Designed for kitchen islands, bar counters and dining areas where a single pendant provides focused ambient light, the Twist works solo or in multiples. The adjustable cable allows the pendant to be set between 50cm and 160cm drop, meaning it can be positioned 600-800mm above a worktop or dining table depending on ceiling height. The matte black finish contrasts cleanly against white, light grey and natural timber interiors, and pairs with other matt black fixtures in contemporary monochrome schemes.

The pendant weighs 0.53kg and fixes to a standard UK ceiling rose with a black canopy that matches the finish of the pendant body. The twist itself is formed from metal with a matte powder-coated finish that resists fingerprints and glare. The IP20 rating confirms it's designed for dry indoor use only. The integrated LED is not replaceable, so when the LED reaches end of life the entire pendant unit is replaced.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The 11W LED is integrated into the pendant body and is not user-replaceable. The LED has a typical lifespan of 20,000-30,000 hours, which equates to approximately 10-15 years of domestic use at 5 hours per day.

Can it be dimmed?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific dimmer switch used. Some trailing-edge LED dimmers will work with this integrated LED, but not all. Contact us before pairing with a dimmer to confirm compatibility.

What ceiling height is needed?

The adjustable cable allows a drop between 50cm and 160cm. For installation over a kitchen island or dining table, a ceiling height of 2.4m or above is recommended to allow the pendant to sit 600-800mm above the surface without appearing too low.

Can multiple pendants be installed together?

Yes. The Twist works well in multiples over a long kitchen island or bar counter, typically spaced 600-900mm apart along the length of the worktop. Stagger the drop heights slightly for visual interest, or keep them uniform for a cleaner look.
