Description

The Twist is a 480mm pendant light with a spiralled cement-effect polymer shade suspended from a polished chrome canopy. The shade is moulded into a twisted organic form that widens at the base and narrows at the neck, with a single E27 bulb fitting inside the lower aperture. The cement-effect finish gives the polymer surface a matte stone-like texture that contrasts with the smooth reflective chrome canopy above.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and double-height entrance halls, the Twist provides both ambient and decorative function through its sculptural form. The 550-1500mm adjustable drop allows the pendant to be positioned 700-900mm above a worktop or dining surface depending on ceiling height. The spiralled profile creates changing shadow lines as the viewer's perspective shifts, giving the fitting different visual weight from different angles in the room.

The cement-effect polymer is lighter than cast concrete at 3.3kg total weight, making the pendant suitable for standard UK ceiling roses without additional structural support. The matte finish absorbs rather than reflects light, so the shade reads as a solid sculptural object when unlit and glows from the interior when the bulb is on.
