Description

The Twist is a 480mm pendant light with a spiralled cement-effect polymer shade suspended from a polished chrome canopy. The shade is moulded into a twisted organic form that widens at the base and narrows at the neck, with a single E27 bulb fitting inside the lower aperture. The cement-effect finish gives the polymer surface a matt stone-like texture that contrasts with the smooth reflective chrome canopy above.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and double-height entrance halls, the Twist provides both ambient and decorative function through its sculptural form. The 550-1500mm adjustable drop allows the pendant to be positioned 700-900mm above a worktop or dining surface depending on ceiling height. The spiralled profile creates changing shadow lines as the viewer's perspective shifts, giving the fitting different visual weight from different angles in the room.

The cement-effect polymer is lighter than cast concrete at 3.3kg total weight, making the pendant suitable for standard UK ceiling roses without additional structural support. The matt finish absorbs rather than reflects light, so the shade reads as a solid sculptural object when unlit and glows from the interior when the bulb is on. The E27 fitting accepts LED, halogen or filament bulbs (sold separately), and dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb chosen.

The E27 fitting is one of the most widely available bulb bases in the UK, so replacement lamps are easy to source. Warm white bulbs around 2700K to 3000K suit the shade's glowing interior effect. With a maximum drop of 1500mm, the pendant can hang low over an island or be shortened for rooms with ceilings near 2.4m.

The fitting takes a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. We suggest pairing this with a warm-white LED between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for dining or ambient use.
