The Turbo is a 512mm ceiling fan light with retractable blades housed behind a matt black grille and a central opal diffuser delivering 4100lm of LED light. A DC motor powers four blades that extend when the fan is switched on and retract flush with the grille when switched off, leaving only the light fixture visible. The integrated LED offers colour temperature tuning between 2700K warm white and 5000K cool white, controlled via the included remote along with dimming and fan speed adjustment.

Designed for living rooms, bedrooms and home offices with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Turbo combines ambient lighting and ceiling ventilation in a single fitting. The 360° light distribution from the central diffuser works as general room illumination, while the fan provides supplementary air circulation during summer months or in poorly ventilated spaces. The retractable blade mechanism means the fan can be switched off in winter without leaving visible blades disrupting the ceiling line.

The matt black finish on the metal grille and canopy absorbs light rather than reflecting it, giving the fitting a low visual profile against white or dark ceilings. The patterned grille radiates outward from the centre in spoke-like segments, concealing the blade housings when retracted. At 3.1kg the fitting requires a secure ceiling mounting point capable of supporting dynamic loads — the DC motor runs silently compared to AC fan motors, producing minimal vibration. The remote control allows six fan speeds and stepless LED dimming without requiring app installation or smart home integration.

How does the retractable blade mechanism work?

When the fan is switched on via the remote, the four blades extend outward from housings concealed behind the grille. When switched off, the blades retract flush with the grille, leaving only the light fixture visible from below. The mechanism is motorised and controlled via the same remote used for light and speed adjustment.

Is the fan noisy?

The DC motor runs significantly quieter than traditional AC fan motors and produces minimal vibration. At lower speeds the fan is near-silent; at higher speeds there is airflow noise but no motor hum or rattling.

Can the colour temperature be set to a specific Kelvin value?

The remote allows stepless adjustment between 2700K warm white and 5000K cool white. You can pause at any point along that spectrum to find the preferred tone, but the remote does not display a numeric Kelvin readout.

What ceiling mounting is required?

The fitting weighs 3.1kg and creates dynamic loads when the fan is running, so it must be mounted to a secure ceiling joist or a reinforced ceiling rose capable of supporting at least 5kg. Standard plasterboard fixings are not sufficient.
