The matt black finish on the metal grille and canopy absorbs light rather than reflecting it, giving the fitting a low visual profile against white or dark ceilings. The patterned grille radiates outward from the centre in spoke-like segments, concealing the blade housings when retracted. How does the retractable blade mechanism work?
