Description

The Tunitas is a ceiling fan with light in a matt black finish. Three sweeping, gently curved blades reach out from a steel body, with a round integrated LED light set into the centre. It measures 132cm across and stands 38cm high, a generous span for a living or dining room. A milky acrylic shade sits over the LEDs, so the light spreads evenly rather than glaring, and at 16W it gives 1,800 lumens. The light is dimmable, which means one fitting can give full brightness for a family meal and a softer glow for a quiet evening.

We think it works hardest in living rooms and dining rooms, where moving air earns its keep on warm days and the light carries the room after dark. The light can be set to three colour temperatures: 3000K is a warm white for relaxing, 4000K a neutral white that suits a dining table or a desk, and 5000K a crisp, cool white closer to daylight. The matt black reads clearly against a pale ceiling and sits comfortably beside dark wood, black metal or bold upholstery, so it suits modern and industrial schemes alike. Because the fan and the light come as one fitting, there is no standing fan taking up floor space.

The fan has six speeds and is reversible, and a remote control comes in the box. The reverse setting is useful all year: one direction sends a cooling downdraught in summer, while a slow reverse run in cooler months pushes warm air gathered at the ceiling gently back down into the room. It runs on 220-240V, 50Hz mains, has an energy class of D and weighs 9KG packed. As a wired-in mains fitting, it should be installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download, so you can read them well before fitting day.
