Description

The Tube is a 300mm LED flush ceiling light with a cylindrical glass tube filled with crystalline sand-diamond coating, mounted on a polished chrome backplate and brackets. The integrated 8W LED strip inside the tube casts 680 lumens of 4000K cool white light through the textured glass, which scatters the beam across 120 degrees and gives the fitting a soft, diffused glow rather than a harsh direct output.

Designed for hallways and compact kitchens where ceiling height is limited and a low-profile fitting is needed, the Tube projects just 75mm from the ceiling surface. The 100mm width keeps the footprint minimal, and the vertical orientation means the light can be positioned close to walls or in narrow corridors without feeling bulky. The 4000K colour temperature provides a neutral white light that works in both warm-toned and cool-toned interiors.

The polished chrome finish on the mounting frame and top cap provides high reflectivity and pairs with modern, industrial and minimalist schemes. The crystalline coating inside the glass tube is visible when the light is off, giving the fitting decorative presence during the day, and when illuminated the coating scatters the LED output to create depth and visual texture rather than a flat wash of light. The chrome base mounts directly to a standard UK ceiling rose.

The 300mm total height and the near-flush 75mm projection make this a taller variant than most flush fittings while still hugging the ceiling in rooms with 2.1m or 2.4m heights, so it clears head height in tight spaces.

Is the Tube dimmable?

No. The integrated 8W LED is non-dimmable and operates at fixed output on 220-240V mains. The fitting must not be connected to a dimmer switch.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No IP rating is declared for the Tube, so it is suitable for dry indoor locations only and should not be installed in a bathroom zone where moisture or spray is present.

What ceiling height does it need?

The 300mm height and 75mm projection make the Tube suitable for standard 2.4m ceilings and lower. The compact footprint means it does not visually overwhelm rooms with ceiling heights as low as 2.1m.

How is the glass cleaned?

The glass tube can be wiped with a soft, dry microfibre cloth when the fitting is switched off and cool. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth is acceptable, but avoid spraying cleaner directly onto the fitting or allowing moisture to enter the LED housing.
