Description

The Tsunami is a 1.7m floor lamp built from three stacked acrylic tiers that spiral around a central sand white metal pole, each tier housing integrated LEDs. The combined 36W output produces 2700 lumens at 3000K warm white, distributed evenly through the frosted acrylic diffusers as the light wraps around the vertical column.

Designed for open-plan living rooms, hallways and bedroom corners where ambient uplight is needed without a ceiling fitting, the Tsunami's 200mm circular footprint gives a compact floor presence relative to its 1.7m height. The spiral configuration directs light outwards and upwards, illuminating ceiling planes and walls rather than creating direct glare at eye level. The lamp is positioned on carpet, tiles or wood flooring and plugs into a standard 13A socket.

Each of the three acrylic tiers sits at a different height on the pole, creating a staggered visual rhythm as the eye follows the spiral upwards. The sand white finish is a warm off-white with a slight grey undertone, softer than pure white and closer to natural linen or pale stone. The acrylic diffusers are held in place by friction-fit mounts on the pole, concealing the cable run inside the central column. At 3.2kg the lamp has enough base weight to resist tipping from routine contact.

Is the Tsunami dimmable?

No. The integrated LEDs are fixed at 36W output and cannot be dimmed. The lamp operates at full brightness when switched on.

What ceiling height does it need?

At 1.7m tall, the Tsunami works in rooms with standard 2.4m ceilings and above. The top tier sits approximately 700mm below a 2.4m ceiling when the lamp is placed on the floor, giving adequate clearance for walking past without head contact.

Can the tiers be repositioned on the pole?

The three acrylic tiers are mounted at fixed positions on the pole during manufacture. They are not user-adjustable and repositioning them would require disassembly of the internal wiring.

How is the acrylic cleaned?

Wipe the acrylic diffusers with a soft dry microfibre cloth. For fingerprints or dust buildup, a barely-damp cloth with water is acceptable. Avoid solvent-based cleaners, ammonia-based glass sprays or abrasive materials that can scratch the frosted acrylic surface.
