Designed for pathways, porch entries, garden walls and terraces where subtle accent lighting is needed after dark, the Trupp provides functional illumination without glare. The IP54 rating protects the internal electronics against dust ingress and water splashes from any direction, making the fitting suitable for exposed positions including coastal areas where salt spray is a concern. The graphite finish is powder-coated onto the aluminium body, resisting UV fade and corrosion over time.

The compact 20cm length and 9cm projection from the wall allow multiple Trupp units to be spaced at 1.5-2m intervals along a pathway or driveway without the fittings dominating the visual line. What does the IP54 rating mean?

IP54 means the fitting is protected against dust ingress sufficient to prevent interference with operation, and against water splashes from any direction. This makes the Trupp suitable for outdoor installation on walls exposed to rain, but not for positions where the fitting would be submerged or subject to high-pressure water jets.

Can this be used in coastal areas?

Yes. The powder-coated aluminium construction and IP54 rating allow the Trupp to be used in coastal locations where salt spray is present. Regular rinsing with fresh water will extend the life of the finish in high-salt environments.

Is the LED replaceable?

The 6W LED is integrated into the fitting and is not user-replaceable. LED lifespan is typically rated at 25,000-30,000 hours, which translates to approximately 10-12 years of use at 6-8 hours per night.

How many Trupp units are needed for a pathway?

Spacing depends on the desired light level and pathway width. For ambient accent lighting along a 1-1.5m wide path, units can be spaced at 1.5-2m intervals. For higher functional light levels, reduce spacing to 1-1.5m between fittings.
