Description

The Tropic is a 76cm ceiling fan with an integrated dimmable LED light, combining a matt black metal motor housing with three walnut-finished acrylic blades and an opal diffuser beneath the motor. The integrated 22W LED provides adjustable CCT from 3000K warm white to 5000K daylight, controlled alongside fan speed and direction via the included remote.

Designed for bedrooms, living rooms and open-plan areas with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Tropic pairs cooling with ambient lighting. The DC motor runs at six speeds with reverse direction for seasonal use — forward rotation pushes air down for summer cooling, reverse pulls air up to circulate warm air in winter. Timer, breeze mode and memory functions allow the fan to resume previous settings when switched back on. The 31.5cm drop from ceiling to blade tip suits standard UK ceiling heights without lowering headroom excessively.

The walnut finish on the acrylic blades contrasts with the black metal housing, giving a mid-century or contemporary aesthetic that pairs with both warm wood interiors and monochrome schemes. The opal diffuser casts even downlight without visible LED points or glare. The fan operates at typical DC motor noise levels — quieter than AC ceiling fans but not silent. Yes. The integrated 22W LED dims via the remote control and supports CCT adjustment between 3000K warm white and 5000K daylight, allowing you to match the light to the time of day or task.

What ceiling height is needed?

The fan has a 31.5cm drop from ceiling to the lowest point of the blades. In rooms with 2.4m ceilings, the blade tips sit at approximately 2.08m clearance, which is acceptable for most residential spaces. Higher ceilings provide more comfortable clearance.

How quiet is the motor?

The DC motor is quieter than traditional AC ceiling fans but produces audible noise at higher speeds. At low to medium speeds the motor hum is minimal and typically masked by ambient room noise.

Can the fan direction be reversed?

Yes. The remote control allows you to switch between forward rotation (pushes air down for summer cooling) and reverse rotation (pulls air up to circulate warm air in winter).
