Description

The Trinity is a 1m three-phase surface-mounted track finished in black aluminium, designed to support multiple track-mounted spotlights or pendant fittings across three independent electrical circuits. Each of the three phases can be switched or dimmed separately, allowing grouped control of fixtures mounted along the same track without requiring individual wiring runs to each light.

Designed for retail, gallery, hospitality and residential ceiling installations, the track mounts directly to plasterboard, concrete or timber ceilings using the included dowels and fixings. The 1m length can be cut to size on-site with a metal saw if a shorter run is needed, or joined to additional 1m sections using connector accessories to build longer continuous runs or L-shaped and T-shaped configurations. The track is 36mm high and 33mm wide, giving a low-profile presence on white or light-coloured ceilings.

The black aluminium extrusion houses three copper busbars rated for AC 220-240V, with the power inlet positioned at one end of the track to connect to mains supply. Track-mounted fittings twist-lock into the channel and make contact with one of the three phases depending on their rotational position, allowing the installer to assign each fitting to a specific circuit during installation. The IP20 rating limits the track to dry indoor environments only.

What does three-phase mean in track lighting?

Three-phase track contains three separate electrical circuits running along the same aluminium channel. Each track-mounted fitting connects to one of the three phases, allowing you to control groups of lights independently without running separate cables to each fixture. This is different from domestic three-phase power supply — the track itself runs on standard single-phase 230V mains.

Can the track be cut to length?

Yes. The 1m aluminium extrusion can be cut shorter with a metal saw to fit the exact ceiling dimension. The cut end will need deburring and the power inlet can be repositioned if needed.

What fittings are compatible?

The Trinity track accepts Maytoni track-mounted spotlights and pendant adaptors designed for three-phase track systems. The twist-lock mechanism is a standard pattern, but compatibility with other brands should be confirmed before ordering.

Can multiple tracks be joined together?

Yes. Maytoni supplies straight connectors, L-connectors and T-connectors as separate accessories to join multiple 1m sections into longer runs or angled configurations. Each connector maintains the three-phase circuit continuity across the join.
