Trilogy 2 Light Flush Ceiling Light - Old Bronze

The Trilogy is a 305mm diameter flush ceiling light from Quoizel with two E27 bulb fittings housed inside a seeded glass dome, held by an old bronze metal frame. The seeded glass — clear glass embedded with small air bubbles — creates visible texture when lit and diffuses light unevenly, casting a softer glow than plain glass. At 147mm projection from the ceiling, the fitting suits rooms where a pendant would hang too low.

Designed for hallways, bedrooms, landings and entrance halls with ceiling heights between 2.2m and 2.5m, the Trilogy provides ambient overhead light without dominating the room. The flush-mount design means the fitting sits close to the ceiling rather than dropping on a chain or rod, making it practical in period properties with lower ceiling heights or in modern spaces where a low-profile fitting is needed. The two E27 bulbs (sold separately) can be standard LED, halogen or filament, giving flexibility to match colour temperature and brightness to the room.

The old bronze finish is a dark oil-rubbed bronze with brown and copper undertones, closer to aged copper than polished brass. It pairs with traditional interiors, industrial schemes and warmer-toned contemporary rooms where brushed chrome or polished nickel would read too cold. The seeded glass catches light differently depending on viewing angle — straight-on it reads as mottled texture, from below it scatters light across the ceiling. The combined glass and bronze frame weighs approximately 1.8kg, requiring a standard ceiling rose fixed to a joist or solid ceiling backing.

What bulbs does it take?

The Trilogy takes two E27 (Edison screw) bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W at 2700K-3000K, or LED filament bulbs for a vintage appearance.

What is seeded glass?

Seeded glass is clear glass deliberately embedded with small air bubbles during manufacturing. The bubbles create visible texture and diffuse light unevenly, softening the brightness of bare bulbs and adding visual interest when the light is off.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 147mm projection works in rooms with ceiling heights from 2.2m upwards. Below 2.2m the fitting may feel too close to head height in circulation areas. There is no upper ceiling height limit for flush-mount fittings.

How is the old bronze finish different from antique brass?

Old bronze is darker and cooler-toned than antique brass, with brown and copper undertones rather than the yellow-gold of aged brass. It pairs better with industrial and darker wood interiors, while antique brass suits warmer traditional schemes.
