Description

Trilbine is a five-light cluster pendant: a round black steel ceiling canopy with five rounded smoked glass shades hanging from it on cables of different lengths, so the glass falls in a loose, staggered cluster rather than a straight line. It stands 150cm tall overall and measures 50cm in diameter. The shades are vaporised glass in a black-transparent tone, which reads as a mirrored, smoky grey when the light is off and glows a warm amber when it is lit. Each of the five lights runs on an integrated 5.8W LED giving 690lm at 3000K, a warm light, and the IP20 rating settles where it belongs: indoors, in a dry room.

Hung over a dining table, the staggered drops give the light real depth, with the lowest shade close to the table and the highest near the ceiling, so the glow fills the height of the space rather than sitting in one band. It suits a dining room, a living room with a generous ceiling height or a stairwell with room for the drop. If you want a single ceiling point to light a whole table, it does the work of several separate pendants. Because the LEDs are integrated, there are no bulbs to buy, which matters when five shades hang at five different heights.

The canopy is steel in a black finish, which keeps the hardware quiet and lets the glass carry the look. There is no switch on the fitting itself; it is switched at the wall, and because it is dimmable you can lower the level for a long dinner. It runs on 220-240V mains at 50/60Hz and has an energy class of E. As a wired-in mains light it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download.
