Description
The TP STRONG LED is a weatherproof linear batten measuring 1250 x 67 x 60 mm, drawing 37W to deliver 5000 lumens at a cool white 4000K. Across the Atlantic this format is what buyers call an LED shop light or wraparound, and it does the same job here: a long, even wash of bright light from a single sealed unit. The wide asymmetric spread of 125° × 110° pushes light down and out across a working area rather than concentrating it in a narrow beam, with an efficiency of 135 lm/W keeping running costs low.
Battens like this suit garages, workshops, car parks, stores and damp utility spaces where a clean, practical light is more useful than a decorative one. At general lighting levels the 5000 lumen output covers around 17 m², so a single unit lights a typical single garage or a small workshop bay, and several can be run along a longer space such as a basement or a parking deck. The neutral 4000K tone reads as a crisp white that keeps surfaces and labels easy to make out, which is why this colour temperature is the usual choice for task and storage areas.
Construction is a sealed plastic body finished in white, rated IP65 against dust and water jets and IK08 for impact resistance, so it stands up to wet, dusty and knockable locations indoors or outside. It mounts directly to a ceiling or a wall using the supplied brackets, running straight off 220 to 240V AC with the LEDs and gear built in. The fitting is not dimmable and is rated for 50,000 hours of use. This batten sits within our wider TP STRONG range, with matching lengths available for lighting a run of bays consistently.

Frequently Asked
Where is this batten typically used?
It is built for garages, workshops, car parks, stores and damp utility areas where a bright, hard-wearing light is needed. The IP65 rating means it copes with dust, moisture and outdoor exposure, while the IK08 body resists knocks in busy working spaces.
Is it weatherproof enough for outdoor and wet locations?
Yes. The sealed plastic body carries an IP65 rating, which protects it against dust ingress and direct water jets, so it can be used in fully exposed outdoor positions as well as wet indoor sites like wash bays. It is well suited to unheated, damp spaces such as outbuildings and car parks.
Can several be linked together in a run?
The batten runs from a 220 to 240V AC supply and can be installed in a series along a wall or ceiling to light a longer space evenly. Each 1250 mm unit gives 5000 lumens, so spacing them along a basement, workshop or parking deck keeps brightness consistent. Wiring should follow the supplied instructions and be carried out by a qualified electrician.
How should the fitting be cleaned?
Switch off and allow it to cool, then wipe the sealed diffuser and body with a soft, slightly damp cloth to clear dust and grime. Avoid solvents or abrasive pads, which can mark the plastic and dull the light output. The IP65 seal means an occasional gentle wipe is usually all it needs.
