Description

The Toscano is a 2-light wall fitting with frosted white glass bell shades mounted on a curved white gold metal branch frame. The metalwork mimics organic branch forms, with the two arms extending upward and downward from a circular backplate. Each arm terminates in a cupped socket holding a frosted glass shade, and each socket takes a G9 capsule bulb (two 40W G9 bulbs included).

Designed for hallways, bedroom flanking positions either side of a headboard, and living room accent lighting, the Toscano provides soft ambient light through the frosted glass while the white gold finish adds warmth against neutral or pale-painted walls. The 380mm height and 220mm width suit standard wall spaces without dominating them. The 120mm projection from the wall allows the fitting to clear door architraves and skirting details in most UK residential installations.

The white gold finish is a warm-toned pale metal that sits between polished brass and antique cream finishes — less yellow than brass, warmer than chrome or nickel. The frosted glass diffuses the G9 bulb light evenly, avoiding harsh shadows or visible filament glare. The branch metalwork is hollow-formed and lightweight despite its 1.5kg total mass, with the majority of weight concentrated in the backplate for secure wall mounting. The fitting is supplied with two G9 halogen capsule bulbs but can be retrofitted with G9 LED equivalents for lower running costs and reduced heat output.

Does the Toscano come with bulbs?

Yes. Two G9 40W halogen capsule bulbs are included. These can be replaced with G9 LED capsules for lower energy consumption and reduced heat output.

Is it dimmable?

The fitting itself is compatible with dimmer switches, but requires dimmable G9 bulbs to function on a dimmer circuit. The supplied halogen bulbs are dimmable; if replacing with LEDs, check that the LED capsule is marked as dimmable.

What wall fixings are needed?

The backplate has two fixing points. On solid brick or block walls use plugs and screws suitable for a 1.5kg load. On plasterboard walls use cavity fixings rated for at least 2kg per fixing point.

Can it be installed in a bathroom?

The Toscano carries no IP rating and is designed for dry indoor locations only. It is not suitable for bathroom zones where moisture or direct water contact may occur.
