Description
The Torvani is a 490mm table lamp built around a rectangular white marble column wrapped diagonally by sculpted brushed brass detailing. The marble body sits on a stepped brushed brass plinth, with a slender brass rod rising from the top of the stone to support a rectangular white fabric shade. A single E27 lamp socket is housed in the upper assembly, accepting standard screw-cap bulbs (sold separately).
Sized at 400mm long, 200mm deep and 490mm tall, the Torvani suits console tables in entrance halls, sideboards in living rooms and bedside use against larger headboards. The rectangular shade footprint is more compact than a typical drum shade of equivalent height, so the lamp fits neatly against a wall or behind a sofa where a round shade would overhang the surface edge.
The marble is solid white with subtle grey veining that reads differently between individual blocks, so no two Torvani lamps are visually identical. The brushed brass overlay sweeps across the front of the stone in two opposing curves, breaking the rectangular silhouette and catching light along its polished edges. Brass is used consistently across the plinth, overlay, stem and finial, keeping the metalwork tonally cohesive against the white marble and white PVC-lined shade.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Torvani take?
The lamp uses a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. Most users pair it with a 6-10W warm-white LED at 2700K-3000K for ambient bedside or console light. Check the maximum wattage marked on the lamp holder before fitting filament or halogen bulbs.
Is the marble veining the same on every lamp?
No. Each marble column is cut from natural stone, so the grey veining and tonal variation differ between individual pieces. This is a feature of the natural material rather than a defect, and is part of why each Torvani looks slightly different in situ.
Is it switched on the lamp or at the wall?
The Torvani uses an inline cord switch on the flex, allowing it to be turned on and off without reaching the bulb holder. It can also be controlled from a switched wall socket if preferred.
How is the marble cleaned?
Wipe the marble with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water and dry immediately. Avoid household sprays, acidic cleaners and polishes, which can etch or stain natural stone. Clean the brushed brass with the same dry cloth, following the grain of the brushing.
