Description

The Mantra Torch is a dual-function LED wall light combining a 6W ambient uplight with a 3W adjustable reading head, both integrated LED sources totalling 592lm output at 3000K warm white. The vertical sand white aluminium body houses the 6W uplight behind an acrylic diffuser, casting a 120° beam upward along the wall. At the base, a tubular 3W spotlight rotates on a ball joint to direct a 30° focused beam where it's needed.

Designed for bedside installation and reading corners where both general room lighting and task lighting are needed from a single fixture, the Torch suits bedrooms, living rooms and study areas. The inline rocker switch on the wall plate allows both LEDs to be controlled together without reaching for a pull cord or wall switch. At 554mm tall and 70mm wide, the fitting occupies minimal wall space while the 165mm projection brings the adjustable reading head forward enough to angle light down onto a pillow or armchair without casting shadows on the wall itself.

The sand white powder-coated finish is a warm off-white rather than a stark cool white, pairing with neutral and warm-toned interiors where bright white fittings would appear too clinical. The acrylic diffuser softens the uplight beam, preventing glare when the fixture is mounted at eye level beside a bed. The combined 9W power consumption makes the Torch more energy-efficient than pairing separate ambient and task fittings, and the 3-year warranty covers both LED modules and the driver.

Can the reading head be adjusted?

Yes. The 3W reading head at the base rotates on a ball joint, allowing it to be angled downward and sideways to direct light onto a reading position without needing to move the entire fixture.

Is the Torch dimmable?

No. The integrated LED driver does not support dimming. The inline switch on the wall plate turns both the uplight and reading head on or off together.

What height should it be mounted at?

For bedside use, mount the wall plate approximately 900-1200mm above the mattress surface so the adjustable reading head can be angled down onto a pillow. For armchair reading, mount at approximately 1200-1400mm above floor level.

Does it need hardwiring?

Yes. The fitting connects directly to mains wiring inside the wall and requires installation by a qualified electrician. The inline switch is built into the wall plate.
