Description
The Torch is a dual-function LED wall light combining a 6W vertical uplight column with a 3W adjustable reading head mounted at the base. The vertical column casts ambient light upwards at a 120° beam angle, while the cylindrical reading head directs a focused 30° beam onto a book, desk surface or bedside area. Both LEDs are integrated and rated at 3000K warm white, producing a combined 592lm output from a total 9W power draw.
Designed for bedside reading positions, living room armchair corners and hallway accent lighting, the Torch suits rooms where both background illumination and task light are needed from a single fitting. The vertical column measures 554mm tall with a 70mm width, giving the fitting a narrow profile that works on walls with limited horizontal space. The reading head projects 165mm from the wall and can be angled on a pivoting joint to direct light where it's needed.
The sand black finish is a matt coating with a fine texture that absorbs rather than reflects ambient light, giving the fitting a low-profile presence until switched on. An acrylic diffuser inside the vertical column softens the LED source and spreads light evenly across the wall surface above. The reading head housing is a solid metal cylinder with the LED recessed inside, controlling glare when viewed from the side. The fitting weighs 0.95kg and mounts directly onto a standard UK back box with concealed fixings behind the wall plate.
The two integrated LEDs draw a combined 9W, keeping running costs low for a fitting that does the work of two.

Frequently Asked
Is the reading head adjustable?
Yes. The 3W cylindrical reading head pivots on a joint, allowing it to be angled towards a reading position, desk surface or bedside area. The vertical uplight column is fixed and directs light upwards only.
Can both LEDs be controlled separately?
This depends on the wiring configuration during installation. If wired to a single switch, both LEDs operate together. You can wire the uplight and reading head to separate switches for independent control. Consult a qualified electrician if this is needed.
Is the Torch dimmable?
No. The integrated LEDs are not compatible with standard dimmer switches. The fitting operates at fixed 9W output when switched on.
What height should the Torch be mounted at for bedside reading?
For bedside reading, the base of the fitting (where the reading head sits) is typically mounted 900-1100mm above the floor, which positions the adjustable reading head at a comfortable angle relative to a seated or reclined reading position. The 554mm height of the vertical column means the top of the fitting will sit around 1450-1650mm above the floor when mounted at this height.
