Description

The Torch is a 476mm tall LED wall light with a vertical acrylic diffuser tube in sand white, housing a 6W integrated LED that casts 274 lumens of warm 3000K light with a 120-degree beam spread. A second 3W LED reading light sits at the base on an adjustable arm, allowing it to be angled independently for directed task light alongside the main ambient output.

Designed for bedside positions, reading corners next to armchairs, and hallways where both ambient and directed light are needed from a single fitting, the Torch combines two light sources without needing separate switches or fittings. The 70mm width and 93mm projection keep the wall light compact enough for narrow hallways and alcoves. The reading light arm pivots on a hinge and can be angled to illuminate a book, a desk surface, or a side table without affecting the main upward light wash.

The sand white finish is a warm off-white powder coat over an aluminium frame, giving a softer tone than stark white and pairing well with neutral, Scandinavian and warm-toned contemporary interiors. The acrylic diffuser tube softens the LED line into an even glow without visible point sources. At 0.8kg the fitting is light enough for plasterboard fixing with appropriate anchors. The integrated LEDs are non-replaceable but rated for 30,000+ hours at typical domestic usage.

Is the reading light controlled separately from the main light?

Check with Mantra's installation guide for this model. Some versions of the Torch have a single switch controlling both LEDs; others offer independent switching via a two-gang wall switch. The product listing does not confirm the switch configuration.

Can the reading light arm be removed if not needed?

No. The reading light arm is integral to the fitting and cannot be detached without damaging the unit.

Is the Torch dimmable?

No. The integrated LED driver does not support dimming. The light operates at fixed brightness on standard mains switching.

What wall fixing is needed for plasterboard?

At 0.8kg the Torch is light enough for hollow-wall anchors rated to 5kg or above. On solid walls use standard plugs and screws appropriate to the wall material. The backplate has pre-drilled mounting holes for two fixings.
