Description

The Tono is a 51cm sculptural LED wall light built from a continuous loop of matte black aluminium and metal framing an opal acrylic diffuser. An integrated 23W LED behind the diffuser casts 1,175 lumens of 3000K warm white light around the entire perimeter of the irregular organic shape, turning the outline itself into the light source rather than projecting light outward from a central point.

Designed for hallways, staircases, feature walls in living rooms and hotel corridors where both ambient light and a visual focal point are needed, the Tono functions as wall art that also lights the space. The 28cm width and 51cm height give it presence on a wall without overwhelming rooms under 3m ceiling height. The 8cm projection from the wall keeps it compact enough for narrow hallways while the matte black finish recedes against darker walls and contrasts sharply against white or pale-toned surfaces.

The opal acrylic diffuser runs the full length of the inner edge, softening the LED output into a continuous glow with no visible hotspots or individual LED points. The asymmetric loop shape creates negative space within the frame, adding visual interest when the light is off and depth when lit. The aluminium and metal construction keeps the weight to 0.77kg despite the 51cm height, making it suitable for standard plasterboard walls with appropriate fixings.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the Tono is suitable only for dry indoor locations. It cannot be used in bathrooms, outdoor areas, or anywhere exposed to moisture.

The Tono mounts to a standard UK wall plate or back box via fixings concealed behind the frame. Full installation instructions are provided in the assembly PDF linked in the Downloads section above. The 0.77kg weight is suitable for plasterboard walls with appropriate plugs and screws.
