Description

Where several pendants are meant to hang together as one group, this round plate gives them a single face to come through. It is a shallow black disc, 60cm across, pierced with fourteen holes for pendant flex, so a scattered set of drops reads as one deliberate arrangement. The profile is slim, so the disc stays quiet overhead and leaves the lights below to take the attention. It is an accessory rather than a light in its own right: it holds no lamp and draws no power of its own.

We reach for the round shape over circular dining tables, over kitchen islands with a curve to them, and in stairwell voids where drops at staggered lengths want a centre to gather around. Double-height hallways suit it too. It is for anyone building a cluster from separate pendants rather than settling for a ready-made multi-light fitting, since the flex lengths, the shades and the spacing are all yours to decide. We keep it in black, the same finish the rest of the range is made in, and the pendants themselves are bought separately.

Black runs across the face and the edge, so the disc reads as a soft shadow against a pale ceiling and all but disappears against a dark one. A dry lint-free cloth drawn flat across the face is all the cleaning it asks for; sprays and cream cleaners dull black finishes, so keep them well away from it. It carries a one year warranty. If the proportion is not quite right for your room, we also stock a smaller round canopy in the same black, along with rectangular ones for pendants set out in a line.
