The Tonic is a 98mm cylindrical glass pendant light with a polished copper metallic finish, housing an integrated 12W LED that delivers 4000K cool white light. The compact cylindrical shade sits on a 2-metre adjustable cable, allowing the pendant to be set anywhere from 300mm to 2000mm below the ceiling rose depending on the room height and desired drop over a worktop or table.

Designed for kitchen islands, bar counters, hallway pendant positions and dining areas where crisp task light is needed, the Tonic provides focused downlight through the glass cylinder while the copper exterior reflects warm tones from adjacent surfaces. The 4000K colour temperature sits between warm white and daylight, making it suitable for food preparation areas and commercial hospitality settings where colour accuracy matters. The pendant can be installed individually as an accent light or grouped in runs of 3-5 pendants over longer islands.

The GX53 lampholder accepts standard GX53 LED bulbs if the integrated lamp needs replacing, and the fitting is compatible with trailing-edge LED dimmers when paired with a suitable dimmer switch. The polished copper finish shows fingerprints during handling but once installed the surface develops a soft patina over time, particularly in kitchens where moisture and heat accelerate the natural ageing of copper. At 0.83kg the pendant is light enough to be suspended from standard UK ceiling roses without additional support.

Yes, the fitting is compatible with trailing-edge LED dimmers. You will need to pair it with a suitable dimmer switch rated for LED loads. Not all household dimmers support GX53 LED lamps, so confirm compatibility before installation.

4000K sits between warm white (2700K-3000K) and daylight (5000K-6500K), giving a neutral white light that shows colours accurately without the yellow cast of warm white. It suits kitchens, bathrooms, commercial hospitality and retail where task accuracy matters.

Can the cable length be adjusted?

Polished copper develops a natural patina when exposed to moisture, heat and air. In kitchens this happens faster due to steam and temperature changes. The patina softens the metallic sheen but does not affect the light output or structural integrity of the fitting.
