Description

The Tonic is an 8 light LED cluster pendant, suspending eight individual GX53 lamp holders from a 410mm diameter matt black circular canopy. Each pendant head is finished in either polished chrome, bronze or copper, and the eight drop at staggered heights from adjustable cables to create a cascading geometric arrangement. The GX53 LED lamps deliver 4000K cool white light across all eight heads.

Designed for double-height stairwells, kitchen islands over 2m in length, and commercial reception areas where multiple light sources are needed from a single ceiling point, the Tonic provides high-output illumination without requiring multiple ceiling roses. The adjustable drop cables allow the cluster to be configured between 480mm and 2000mm total drop, so the lowest pendant can be set to suit ceiling height and furniture clearance. The fitting is dimmable when paired with a compatible trailing-edge dimmer.

The mixed-metal finish across the eight pendant heads adds tonal variation without breaking the clean cylindrical form of each lamp housing. The matt black canopy acts as a neutral anchor point for the chrome, bronze and copper accents below. At 7kg total weight, the fitting requires a secure ceiling fixing point capable of handling the combined load of the metal housings and the canopy plate.

The 4000K cool white output stays consistent across all eight glass shades, so light quality does not vary from one end of the cluster to the other. Each GX53 lamp sits within a cylindrical housing, and the 410mm diameter keeps the arrangement compact above a table or island.

Yes. The Tonic takes eight GX53 LED lamps, sold separately. We suggest 4000K cool white to match the specified colour temperature. The lamps are integrated into the design and do not need to be purchased separately.

Is it dimmable?

Yes. The fitting is dimmable when used with a compatible trailing-edge dimmer switch. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific model. Confirm compatibility before pairing with a dimmer circuit.

Can the drop heights be adjusted individually?

Yes. Each of the eight cables can be adjusted independently during installation, allowing the pendant heads to hang at different heights within the 480-2000mm total drop range. This creates the cascading cluster effect.

What ceiling height is needed?

The minimum 480mm drop requires a ceiling height of at least 2.4m to maintain comfortable head clearance below the lowest pendant. The adjustable cables allow the cluster to be configured for higher ceilings up to 3.5m or more by extending individual drops towards the 2000mm maximum.
