The Tonic is an 8-light bar pendant with eight cylindrical glass pendants hanging from a 500mm × 300mm black rectangular canopy, each housing an integrated GX53 4000K LED. The cylinders alternate between chrome, bronze and copper metallic finishes, creating a mixed-metal composition that catches and reflects light differently depending on viewing angle. Each pendant drops on its own cable with adjustable length from 480mm to 2000mm, allowing the fitting to be configured for ceiling heights between 2.4m and 4m.

Designed for linear placement over kitchen islands, dining tables and commercial counters, the Tonic works where multiple point sources are needed to light a long horizontal surface without shadowing. The 500mm canopy length suits islands and tables between 1.5m and 2.5m long, with the eight pendants spaced evenly to distribute light across the surface below. The 4000K colour temperature produces a neutral-to-cool white light that brings out true colours in food preparation and renders materials accurately in retail and hospitality settings.

The mixed finishes—chrome, bronze and copper—give the fitting a warmer palette than single-metal pendants while maintaining the clean geometry expected from a bar pendant. The cylindrical glass shades direct most of the light downwards as task lighting, with a smaller proportion escaping sideways to create ambient fill. The fitting is dimmable when paired with a suitable trailing-edge or leading-edge dimmer (sold separately), allowing the light level to be reduced from full task brightness to background atmosphere for evening use.

The black canopy provides a neutral anchor that recedes visually against dark ceilings or contrasts cleanly against white, allowing the metallic pendants to dominate the composition. At 7.1kg the fitting requires secure ceiling fixings into a joist or solid ceiling structure, not just plasterboard alone. The GX53 LEDs are integrated into the design and are not user-replaceable.

What length table or island does this suit?

The 500mm canopy length and eight-pendant spacing work best over surfaces between 1.5m and 2.5m long. Shorter tables may find the fitting too wide, while longer islands may benefit from pairing two Tonic fittings end-to-end for more even coverage.

Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?

Yes, each pendant drops on an individual cable that can be adjusted between 480mm and 2000mm during installation. Once the cables are cut and fixed in place, further adjustment requires re-wiring.

Are the LEDs replaceable?

The GX53 LEDs are integrated into the design. They are not user-replaceable in the same way as screw-in bulbs. If an LED fails within the warranty period, contact Mantra or Niori for support.

What dimmer type is needed?

The Tonic requires a trailing-edge or leading-edge dimmer rated for LED loads. Not all dimmers are compatible with GX53 integrated LEDs—check the dimmer manufacturer's compatibility list or contact us before pairing with an existing dimmer.
