Tonic 3 Light LED Bar Pendant - Copper & Black 4000K

The Tonic is a 720mm three-light bar pendant combining copper cylindrical shades with a matt black rectangular canopy. Each of the three pendants houses an integrated GX53 LED lamp at 4000K, delivering cool white task light through a clear glass lens at the base of each copper cylinder. The black canopy measures 720mm x 100mm and mounts flush to the ceiling, with the three pendants suspended on black cables at equal spacing.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and bar counters where multiple task light sources are needed along a linear axis, the Tonic positions the three lamps to illuminate a working or eating surface without creating a single harsh hotspot. The adjustable drop allows the pendants to be set between 480mm and 2000mm from the ceiling, typically hanging 700-900mm above a worktop or table. The dimmable 4000K lamps provide bright, neutral light for food preparation and detailed tasks, and can be dimmed for dining or evening use with a compatible trailing-edge dimmer.

The copper finish on the cylindrical shades is a brushed metallic treatment that reflects ambient light without producing high glare. The black canopy and cables provide visual contrast and reduce the visual weight of the ceiling fixing, allowing the copper pendants to stand out when lit. The combination of copper, black and cool white light suits contemporary kitchens, commercial bar fitouts, and modern dining spaces with dark timber, stone or matte-painted surfaces.

Is the Tonic dimmable?

Yes. The integrated GX53 LED lamps are dimmable with a compatible trailing-edge LED dimmer. Standard rotary or slide dimmers designed for incandescent bulbs may cause flickering or reduced dimming range.

What ceiling height is needed?

The adjustable drop allows the pendants to hang between 480mm and 2000mm below the ceiling. For a kitchen island or dining table, the pendants typically sit 700-900mm above the surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above.

What colour temperature is 4000K?

4000K is a cool white colour temperature that produces neutral, bright light similar to daylight fluorescent tubes. It provides clarity for food preparation and detailed tasks but is cooler in tone than the warm white (2700K-3000K) commonly used in living rooms and bedrooms.

Can the canopy be mounted on a sloped ceiling?

The Tonic canopy is designed for horizontal ceiling mounting. Sloped ceiling installation may require a separate canopy adaptor kit, which is not included. Contact Mantra directly or consult a qualified electrician if installing on a sloped or angled ceiling.
