Description

The Tonic is a 98mm diameter glass pendant light with a bronze metallic finish and an integrated 12W LED producing 2700K warm white light. The small cylindrical shade pairs a clear glass outer with a bronze-toned inner surface that reflects and warms the downward light output, while the glass itself diffuses a softer ambient glow outward.

Designed for kitchen islands, breakfast bars, hallways and dining areas where compact downlighting is needed, the Tonic works as a solo fitting over a console table or in multiples spaced 300-400mm apart along a run. The 2m cable drop is adjustable on installation, allowing the pendant to sit 600-800mm above a worktop or 700-900mm above a dining surface depending on ceiling height. The GX53 socket is dimmable when paired with a compatible LED dimmer.

The bronze finish adds warmth to the fitting without the patina variation of antique brass or the high shine of polished brass, sitting comfortably between the two in both tone and reflection. The 98mm diameter and 0.83kg weight give the pendant a compact footprint that suits narrow spaces and low ceilings where larger pendants would dominate. The glass is fitted with a simple chrome cap and cable entry at the top, keeping the visual focus on the bronze and glass rather than decorative hardware.

Is the LED integrated or does it use a replaceable bulb?

The Tonic uses a GX53 socket, which accepts a replaceable GX53 LED disc bulb. The 12W rating refers to the recommended bulb wattage. GX53 bulbs are sold separately and are widely available in 2700K, 3000K and 4000K options.

Can it be dimmed?

Yes. The GX53 socket is dimmable when paired with a compatible LED dimmer and a dimmable GX53 bulb. Not all GX53 bulbs are dimmable, so check the bulb specification before pairing with a dimmer switch.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 2m cable drop is adjustable on installation. For a kitchen island or breakfast bar the pendant typically sits 600-800mm above the surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. The compact 98mm diameter also suits lower ceilings where larger pendants would feel oppressive.

Can multiple Tonic pendants be spaced along a kitchen island?
