The Tolmere large pendant coils a single ribbon of metal into a spiral 850mm across, so the fitting is the shape rather than a frame holding a shade. The natural finish keeps the metal quiet and lets the form do the talking, and the light source is built into the ribbon, which means there are no lamps to buy and none to change. Overall height adjusts between 600mm and 1865mm, so it can hang tight to a standard ceiling or drop a long way into a tall space. It weighs 3kg, and the fitting is dimmable through a compatible dimmer switch.
