The Tismora is a compact LED outdoor wall light with a crisp, angular form: a cast aluminium box in anthracite, its front cut away into sloping faces around a small central block. It stands 18cm high and 14cm long and projects 10.5cm from the wall, so it sits neatly beside a door without crowding a narrow porch. Two integrated LEDs give 230 lumens each at 3000K, a warm white that flatters brick, render and timber. With an IP44 rating it is protected from splashing water, which settles the main question: it can live outdoors on a house wall.

Because the light leaves the fitting both upwards and downwards, it washes two soft fans across the wall rather than shining straight into the eyes of visitors, which suits front doors, back doors, patios and garden walls. Placed either side of an entrance, a pair frames the doorway nicely, and along a terrace wall the beams pick out the grain of stone, timber cladding or concrete after dark. Each of the two LEDs runs at 2.5W. Being IP44, it may also be considered for a bathroom, where a qualified electrician will confirm the right zone.

The body is cast aluminium in anthracite, a dark charcoal grey that sits quietly against most exterior walls, and aluminium does not rust, which matters on a wall that faces the weather. The LEDs are integrated, so there is no bulb to buy or replace, and the light is not dimmable. It has no switch of its own; it is switched at the wall like any porch light. Being a wired mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download. Packed, it weighs 1.16KG.
