Description

The Tiara is a two-tier wall light built from faceted glass prisms arranged in scalloped layers around a chromed metal frame, with gold-plated ABS accents lining the top edge of each prism. A single G9 bulb (not included) sits inside the upper tier, casting light through the transparent glass to create refracted patterns on adjacent walls. The combination of chrome frame, clear glass and gold accent gives the fitting a formal, decorative presence.

Designed for hallways, dining rooms, and entryways where wall space benefits from vertical decoration, the Tiara measures 39cm tall and 22cm wide with an 11cm projection from the wall. The two-tier arrangement creates visual depth without requiring significant wall width, making it suitable for narrower hallways or flanking mirrors and artwork. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor locations only.

Each glass prism is individually faceted to catch and scatter light, producing a different refraction pattern depending on viewing angle and bulb type. The gold-plated ABS trim at the top of each prism adds a warm metallic accent line that contrasts with the cooler chrome structure. The transparent glass means the internal G9 bulb is visible when lit, so a clear or frosted capsule bulb is recommended over an exposed filament type. What bulb does it take?

The Tiara takes a single G9 capsule bulb, not included. The transparent glass means the bulb is visible when lit, so a clear or frosted G9 LED is recommended. G9 bulbs are typically available in wattages from 2.5W to 5W LED equivalent to 25-40W halogen output.

Is it dimmable?

Dimming depends on the G9 bulb chosen. Use a dimmable G9 LED bulb paired with a compatible LED dimmer switch. Non-dimmable G9 bulbs will not dim and may flicker or fail if connected to a dimmer circuit.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the Tiara is suitable for dry indoor locations only. Bathrooms require a minimum IP44 rating for zones near water. Use the Tiara in hallways, dining rooms, bedrooms or living areas instead.

How is it fixed to the wall?

The chromed metal backplate fixes to the wall with screws and plugs suitable for your wall type (masonry, plasterboard, timber stud). At 1.3kg the fitting requires secure fixing — use appropriate wall anchors for plasterboard or hollow walls.
