The Thornton is a flush bathroom ceiling light in chrome, with a glass diffuser and metal frame that sits close to the ceiling for a neat, unobtrusive fit. It measures 24cm across with a 30cm projection, making it a fairly compact, single point of light rather than a wide spread fitting, so it tucks neatly into a bathroom ceiling without drawing attention to itself. It takes one E27 lamp and carries an IP44 rating, so it is built to cope with the steam and splashes of a bathroom.

Being IP44 rated, the Thornton is suitable for use in zone 1 and zone 2 of the bathroom, so it can sit directly above a bath or shower as well as anywhere else in the room. Its compact size and flush fit make it a good choice for smaller bathrooms and en suites with standard ceiling heights, where a bulkier fitting would feel out of place. A single lamp gives a soft, even ambient light rather than a harsh glare, which suits a room you want to feel calm as well as practical.
