This Iron Man mug brings a little comic book swagger to the daily brew. On the front, a pale silver-grey line drawing of Iron Man bursts out of a circle, one gauntlet thrust forward, with the words THE INVINCIBLE arched over the top. Turn it round and the Avengers A logo fills the other side, so there is something to see whichever way it faces. The body is matt grey with a rounded, barrel-like shape, a pale cream band around the base and a large loop handle. It holds 500ml, a proper mugful of tea or coffee without a trip back to the kettle halfway through.

It earns its place on a desk as much as in the kitchen. At 10.5cm tall, 12.8cm wide and 9.8cm deep, it is roomy without feeling clumsy, and the rounded body sits comfortably in two hands on a cold morning.
