Description

This porcelain mug with an inside decal puts the Hulk front and centre, on the outside and all the way down the inside. One side carries a full-length drawing of the Hulk with one fist clenched across his chest, wearing dark trousers with a red side stripe; the other shows his name, HULK, in heavy, rocky lettering breaking through a cracked wall. The glaze is a soft sage green outside and a deeper green inside, with a glossy finish, and the open, angled handle gives the shape a character of its own. It stands 10cm tall, 14cm wide and 9.5cm deep, and it holds 500ml, so there is room for a generous brew.

Inside, the decal is a busy scene of the Hulk mid-smash, drawn in pale lines over the darker green with a radiation symbol and bright yellow streaks behind him, so the artwork comes further into view with every sip. It makes a cheerful mug for morning tea or coffee at home, for a desk at work, or for a hot chocolate at the end of the day. For anyone who has followed the Avengers on screen or in the comics, it is an easy gift that needs no explaining.

The mug is made from porcelain, a fine ceramic, finished in a smooth, glossy glaze with the artwork printed on the outside walls and across the inside. To keep the prints looking their best, we suggest washing it by hand in warm soapy water with a soft cloth, and drying it straight away. Its straight-sided shape sits neatly on a shelf with your everyday mugs, while the wide, angled handle makes it easy to pick out at a glance. Wrap it on its own or tuck a packet of favourite tea or coffee inside, and it makes a thoughtful present for someone who loves the big green hero.
