The Thai is a 1220mm diameter ceiling fan light with an integrated tuneable LED producing 2400 lumens, a DC motor and retractable blades that fold flush when the fan is switched off. The all-black finish covers the motor housing, rod and three ABS blades, and the LED ring sits inside the motor housing to provide both downlight and edge-lit wash light across the ceiling plane.

Designed for bedrooms, living rooms and open-plan spaces with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3.6m, the Thai pairs air circulation with overhead lighting in a single fitting. The DC motor runs quieter than traditional AC motors and draws 65W when both fan and light are in use. The tuneable white LED adjusts from warm 2700K to cool daylight 5000K via remote or app, allowing the colour temperature to shift between evening and daytime use. The retractable blades fold into the motor housing when stationary, reducing the visual footprint to approximately 430mm diameter when not in use.

The fan operates across six speed settings controlled by the included IR remote or via the Mantra Home app (iOS and Android). The app allows scheduling of fan speed and light levels, and stores preset scenes for different times of day. The black ABS blades are moulded into a curved profile that moves air efficiently at lower speeds, reducing noise while maintaining airflow. Installation requires a ceiling joist capable of supporting 4.6kg and a minimum ceiling clearance of 310mm from the mounting plate to the lowest point of the fitting when the rod is at its shortest setting.

How do the retractable blades work?
