Description

The Tervel is a 385mm table lamp built around a tapered cylindrical base cut from yellow cave stone (a travertine-style limestone) and topped with a flattened dome shade in frosted opal glass. An integrated LED inside the shade casts warm 3000K light evenly through the glass, with the open underside of the dome allowing additional downward wash onto the surface beneath. Overall diameter is 320mm at the shade.

Designed for sideboards, hallway consoles, bedside tables and living-room side tables, the Tervel suits positions where a compact ambient light is wanted rather than a directional reading lamp. The 385mm height keeps the shade below standing eye level on most furniture, so the bright glass reads as a soft glow rather than a glare source. The integrated LED removes any need to source a bulb separately.

The stone base shows the natural pitting, horizontal banding and tonal shifts characteristic of travertine, so each Tervel base looks subtly different. The tapered profile widens slightly towards the floor of the shade and narrows at the foot, giving the lamp a stable visual anchor without a separate metal plinth. Combined with the rounded glass dome above, the proportions echo the mushroom-form table lamps of mid-century Italian lighting.

Does the Tervel come with a bulb?

Yes. The lamp uses an integrated LED rated at 3000K (warm white), so no separate bulb is needed. The LED is built into the fitting and runs from a standard 230V mains supply.

Is the stone base natural?

Yes. The base is cut from yellow cave stone, a travertine-style limestone with natural pitting, horizontal banding and tonal variation. Each base shows different markings, so no two lamps look identical.

Is it dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility for the integrated LED depends on the specific dimmer model. Please contact us before pairing the Tervel with a dimmer switch so we can confirm suitability.

How is the stone cleaned?

Travertine is porous. Wipe gently with a dry, soft cloth to remove dust. For marks, use a barely-damp cloth with plain water. Avoid household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners, which can stain or etch the stone.
