Tentacle 3 Light Semi-Flush Ceiling Light - Rustic Gold

The Tentacle is a 3-light semi-flush ceiling light built around a rustic gold metal framework that curves outward in three fluid arms, each supporting a frosted amber glass shade. The semi-flush canopy sits 320mm below the ceiling, giving the fitting a sculptural profile without the drop of a full suspension pendant. Each arm holds an E14 bulb fitting (bulbs sold separately), and the frosted amber glass diffuses the light into a warm, tinted glow.

Designed for living rooms, dining areas, bedrooms and hallways with standard 2.4m ceiling heights, the Tentacle provides general ambient light rather than directional task lighting. The 570mm diameter spread suits rooms of 12-18m² where a single central fitting needs to cover the space without overwhelming the ceiling plane. The curved arms distribute light evenly across the room, with the frosted glass softening the output to reduce glare and create a warm ambient wash.

The rustic gold finish on the metalwork has a hand-painted texture that shows tonal variation and brushmarks rather than presenting as a flat uniform coating. This gives the fitting a handcrafted character that pairs with traditional, country and transitional interiors. The amber tint in the glass adds warmth to the light output. Pairing this with warm-white 2700K LED bulbs will intensify the effect, while cooler 3000K bulbs will balance it. At 1kg the fitting is light enough to install on standard ceiling rose fixings without additional support.

The fitting carries a 1 year warranty and runs on 220-240V mains with dimmable E14 lamps fitted.

What bulbs does it take?

The Tentacle takes three E14 small Edison screw bulbs, sold separately. We suggest pairing this with 4-6W LED candle bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) to complement the amber glass. Maximum wattage depends on the bulb type. Check the bulb packaging.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, if paired with dimmable E14 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. The fitting itself does not contain dimming electronics, so dimmer compatibility depends entirely on the bulbs chosen.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 320mm drop from ceiling to base of the shades suits rooms with standard 2.4m or higher ceilings. In lower-ceiling rooms the fitting may feel visually heavy, though it will still function safely.
