Description

The Knightsbridge TENAX 10-20W CCT Emergency LED Gear Tray combines adjustable wattage (10W, 15W or 20W), selectable colour temperature (3000K, 4000K or 5700K) and 3-hour emergency lighting in a single 235mm square aluminium module with an integrated microwave sensor. Four butterfly clips secure the tray to compatible TENAX One or TENAX Quad casings (sold separately), and push-fit terminals with loop-in-loop-out capability simplify mains wiring on multi-fitting runs.

Designed for commercial, hospitality and residential applications requiring flexible output and emergency backup without stock proliferation, the tray allows installers to adjust wattage and CCT on-site using selector switches on the rear of the module. This means a single SKU covers warm white (3000K) ambient applications, neutral white (4000K) office and retail spaces, and cool white (5700K) task-focused areas. The microwave sensor adds automatic on/off control with adjustable detection area, daylight threshold and hold time, reducing energy use in corridors, stairwells, plant rooms and storage areas.

The emergency function provides 125 lumens maintained or non-maintained backup via a lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery rated for 3 hours. Maintained mode keeps the LEDs on during mains power and switches to battery on mains failure; non-maintained mode leaves the LEDs off until mains failure triggers battery operation. The IP20 rating suits dry indoor locations. Maximum output at 20W reaches 2,630 lumens at 4000K, delivering 131 lm/W efficacy. The aluminium construction and constant-current driver support an L70B50 life of 40,000 hours and carry a 5-year warranty.

The tray measures 235mm square with a 28mm projection. The sensor, wattage selector, CCT selector and emergency mode switch are all accessed from the rear of the module before installation. Compatible casings include the TENAX One (single module) and TENAX Quad (four-module array) ranges — these casings provide the front diffuser, mounting points and external enclosure, and must be purchased separately.

Frequently Asked

Which casings is this gear tray compatible with?

The tray fits Knightsbridge TENAX One and TENAX Quad casings. Casings are sold separately and provide the front diffuser, mounting frame and external enclosure. The tray alone cannot be installed without a compatible casing.

How do I adjust the wattage and colour temperature?

Both settings are controlled via selector switches on the rear of the module, accessible before the tray is clipped into the casing. Wattage options are 10W, 15W or 20W; CCT options are 3000K (warm white), 4000K (neutral white) or 5700K (cool white).

What's the difference between maintained and non-maintained emergency mode?

Maintained mode keeps the LEDs on during normal mains operation and switches to battery backup on mains failure. Non-maintained mode leaves the LEDs off during mains operation and only activates them on battery during a power cut. The mode is selected via a switch on the rear of the module.

Can the microwave sensor be adjusted?

Yes. The sensor offers adjustable detection area (range), daylight threshold (lux level below which the sensor will activate) and hold time (how long the light stays on after detecting motion). These adjustments are made via controls on the rear of the module.
