Description
This Tedo set brings you three round recessed downlights, each with a cast aluminium body and a brushed satin nickel trim around a tilting inner ring. Each light is 8cm across and takes a GU10 light source, drawing 4.8W and giving 400lm, so the three together lay an even run of light across a ceiling. The rating is IP20, and that settles where they belong: indoors and dry, in rooms well away from water and steam.
They suit a hallway, a landing, a living room or a bedroom, anywhere you want light from the ceiling without a pendant or a shade hanging into the room. The tilting ring is the useful part: you can angle each beam to wash a wall, pick out a picture or a shelf, or bring light across a reading chair. Set them in a line close to a wall and the beams draw soft arcs down the paintwork, which gives a plain corridor real character. Buying them as a set of three means an even row in which every trim matches.
Each downlight needs a 6.8cm cut-out and 11.5cm of recess depth, so measure the space above your ceiling before you order. There is no switch on the fittings themselves; they are switched at the wall, and the 3-step dimming lets you settle on a softer level for the evening. They run from 220-240V mains, carry energy class F, and are installed by a qualified electrician, with the installation instructions coming as a download. The set weighs 0.741KG packed, so it is easy to handle at the top of a stepladder.

Frequently Asked
Can these downlights go in a bathroom?
No. They are rated IP20, which means indoors and dry, so we keep them to hallways, living rooms, bedrooms and other rooms away from water.
What size hole does each downlight need?
Each one needs a 6.8cm cut-out in the ceiling and 11.5cm of recess depth, while the satin nickel trim is 8cm across and covers the edge of the hole.
Can the beam be angled?
Yes. Each downlight has a tilting inner ring, so you can aim the light at a wall, a picture or a shelf rather than only at the floor.
How bright is each light?
Each light gives 400lm from 4.8W through its GU10 light source, and the 3-step dimming lets you bring the level down for a softer room.
Which finish is the trim?
The trim is brushed satin nickel on a cast aluminium body, a soft metallic grey with a fine brushed grain that sits quietly against a white ceiling.
Are there switches on the downlights?
No. The downlights have no switch of their own and are switched at the wall, with 3-step dimming for a gentler level whenever you want one.
